IKEA BAGGEBO glass-door cabinet, metal/white, 34×30×116 cm: interactive 3D assembly guide

Every step of assembling the IKEA BAGGEBO 34×30×116, built in 3D. Press play to watch a step, drag to look around, or switch to Drawing to see it in clean black lines.

What is in the box

Check that all 10 parts and 43 pieces of hardware are there before you start. Lay the glass door and the 2 glass shelves on a soft surface, and have a cross-head screwdriver, a spirit level, and a screw and wall plug suited to your wall ready.

All 15 steps

  1. 1 Screw in the feet and stand the side frames

Screw the 4 adjustable feet (10003068) by hand into the threaded inserts at the bottom ends of the 2 side frames, 2 feet in each frame. Stand the left and right side frames upright on their feet.

  2. 2 Push down the bottom panel

Hook the bottom panel between the left and right side frames just above their bottom crossbars, then push all 4 corners down firmly so the notched corners engage the slots in the 4 posts.

  3. 3 Fit the top panel

Lower the top panel onto the top ends of the left and right side frames, with its single pivot hole at the front-left corner, and press it down over all 4 posts.

  4. 4 Place the left side panel

Bring the left perforated side panel inside the cabinet and seat it flat against the inside of the left side frame, lining up its corner holes and middle shelf-support holes with the frame.

  5. 5 Screw in the left shelf supports

Drive 4 shelf support screws (10077854) with the cross-head screwdriver through the front and back flanges of the left side panel into the left side frame at the two shelf heights.

  6. 6 Lock the left side panel with snap pins

Push a snap sleeve (10050917) into each of the 4 corner holes of the left side panel, then push a snap pin (10050916) into the centre of each sleeve until it clicks.

  7. 7 Fit the right side panel and shelf supports

Set the right perforated side panel inside the right side frame, then drive 4 shelf support screws (10077854) with the cross-head screwdriver through its front and back flanges at the two shelf heights.

  8. 8 Lock the right side panel with snap pins

Push a snap sleeve (10050917) into each of the 4 corner holes of the right side panel, then press a snap pin (10050916) into each sleeve until it clicks.

  9. 9 Attach the back panel

Hold the back panel against the back of the cabinet with its central wall-anchoring hole near the top. Push 4 snap sleeves (10050917) into the 4 corner holes and press a snap pin (10050916) into each sleeve until it clicks.

  10. 10 Level the cabinet against the wall

Move the cabinet into place against the wall, lay a spirit level on the top panel, and turn the 4 adjustable feet (10003068) at the bottom of the posts until the cabinet stands level and steady.

  11. 11 Anchor the cabinet to the wall common mistake

Fit a wall plug suited to your wall behind the top hole in the back panel. Fold the 3 leaves of the black distance plate (114664) together and slip it between the back panel and the wall, drive a wall screw through the washer (126916), back panel and distance plate into the wall, and click the white cover cap (133303) over the washer. Common mistake: At 116 cm tall and only 30 cm deep, the cabinet tips forward easily when the glass door is pulled open. Always anchor it to the wall through the top back hole with the distance plate (114664), washer (126916) and a screw and plug suited to your wall.

  12. 12 Screw the knob onto the glass door

Hold the white knob (10062514) against the front of the glass door frame over the hole on its right stile, and drive the knob screw (118832) in from the back of the door with the cross-head screwdriver.

  13. 13 Insert the lower door pivot pin

Push the stepped steel door pivot pin (10077811) down into the hole at the front-left corner of the bottom panel until its collar rests flat on the panel.

  14. 14 Hang the glass door

Lower the bottom-left pivot socket of the glass door onto the pivot pin (10077811), hold the door open in line with the front-left corner hole of the top panel, and drive the door pivot screw (10077255) down through the top panel into the top corner of the door.

  15. 15 Lay in the glass shelves and close the door

Angle each of the 2 tempered glass shelves in through the open front of the cabinet and lower them onto the 8 rubber-sleeved shelf support screws (10077854), then swing the glass door shut.

Questions

Does the BAGGEBO glass-door cabinet have to be anchored to the wall?

Yes. At 116 cm tall and 30 cm deep, it can tip forward when the door is opened if it is not fixed to the wall. The box includes the folding black distance plate (114664), galvanized washer (126916) and white cover cap (133303); you supply a screw and wall plug suited to your wall.

What tools do I need to assemble the BAGGEBO glass-door cabinet?

You need a cross-head screwdriver (for the 8 shelf-support screws 10077854, the knob screw 118832, the top door pivot screw 10077255, and the wall screw) and a spirit level to level the cabinet on its 4 adjustable feet (10003068). The 12 snap sleeves (10050917) and 12 snap pins (10050916) push in by hand.

How do the two-piece plastic snap rivets (10050917 and 10050916) work?

First push the flanged hollow sleeve (10050917) into the corner hole so its flange sits flat against the panel, then press the pin (10050916) into the centre of the sleeve until it clicks. To remove one later, prise the pin back out first.

How much weight can each BAGGEBO glass shelf hold?

IKEA rates each tempered glass shelf (part 10077005) for a maximum load of 5 kg, resting on 4 rubber-sleeved shelf support screws (10077854).

Safety

Furniture that tips over can cause serious or fatal crushing injuries. IKEA says this cabinet must be fixed to the wall using the enclosed wall-anchoring fittings and a screw and plug suited to your wall.

About this guide

This is an independent 3D engineering guide modeled from physical hardware specifications and standard fastener part numbers so you can identify your pieces before building. The outer size, 34 × 30 × 116 cm, is IKEA's published size. The outer dimensions, package weight, shelf load and fastener specs are IKEA’s; the tube section and shelf heights are close estimates. The 3D runs faster than real hands do.

Each tempered glass shelf holds up to 5 kg, according to IKEA.

The manufacturer's instructions are on IKEA's product page (PDF). If something here differs from the manual in your box, follow the manual.

The 3D models, drawings and text are our own. IKEA and BAGGEBO are named only to say which product this guide is for.
