Step 4 of 5
LACK TV bench step 4 of 5: Drive the 8 bracket screws and stick on the 4 glides
Using a cross-head screwdriver, drive 2 screws (108443) through each of the 4 shelf supports — one horizontally into the leg’s pilot hole and one vertically into the underside of the shelf (8 screws total). Then peel the backing off the 4 self-adhesive glides (153550) and press one onto the bottom end of each leg.
Tools: Cross-head screwdriver
- Start both screws on a bracket by a few turns before tightening either one snugly so the shelf pulls square against all four legs.

The parts' sizes are our 3D model's own estimates: close, not measured. Overall dimensions (90×26×45 cm) and hardware part numbers are from IKEA manual AA-472386-9; shelf height and bracket offsets are close estimates from the manual drawings. IKEA publishes only the outer size.

Questions
How do the legs attach to the LACK TV bench?
Each leg attaches with a 7×70 mm double-ended screw (part 115980): screw one end into the corner of the upturned top panel by hand until the middle collar meets the board, then spin the leg clockwise onto the exposed threads.
Which way should the small holes on the LACK TV bench legs face?
When tightening the four legs onto the corner bolts, align the last quarter-turn so the small pilot hole on the side of each leg faces inward across the 80 cm span toward the opposite leg. The four L-shaped shelf brackets (131372 / 115753) screw into those holes.
How much weight can the LACK 90×26×45 cm TV bench hold?
IKEA rates the top panel for a maximum TV load of 30 kg and the suspended lower shelf for up to 10 kg.
What tools do I need to assemble the LACK TV bench?
Only a cross-head (Phillips/Pozidriv) screwdriver for the 8 short screws (part 108443 / 100365) that fasten the 4 lower shelf brackets. The 4 corner leg bolts go in by hand.
Safety
Do not sit or stand on the TV bench, and never exceed the 30 kg maximum load on the top panel or 10 kg on the lower shelf.
About this guide
The part numbers and counts match IKEA's assembly instructions, so you can check each piece against your box. The outer size, 90 × 26 × 45 cm, is IKEA's published size. Overall dimensions (90×26×45 cm) and hardware part numbers are from IKEA manual AA-472386-9; shelf height and bracket offsets are close estimates from the manual drawings. The 3D runs faster than real hands do.
IKEA gives a maximum TV load of 30 kg on the top panel and 10 kg on the lower shelf.
The manufacturer's instructions are on IKEA's product page (PDF). If something here differs from the manual in your box, follow the manual.
