KALLAX 77×77 step 13 of 13: Fix it to the wall

Push the unit back against the wall. Put a wall fitting (103693) on over each screw head through the round hole of its keyhole, slide it down so the screw sits in the slot, and tighten the screw with the flat screwdriver. Then push a cover (115754) over each bracket. Done.

Tools: Flat screwdriver

Common mistake: leaving it standing without the wall fixing. Pulled at the top or climbed on by a child, a free-standing unit tips forward and falls. That is why IKEA says it must be fixed to the wall: fix both brackets, with screws and plugs that suit your wall. The switch in the player shows what goes wrong.

About this guide

The steps, the part numbers, the counts and the order come from IKEA's assembly manual AA-2703327-1 (2026-03-24). The outer size, 76.5 × 39 × 76.5 cm, is IKEA's published size. Board thickness, hole positions and the bracket height are read off the drawings, so they are close, not measured. The 3D runs faster than real hands do.

Each shelf holds up to 13 kg and the top up to 25 kg, according to IKEA.

The official instructions are on IKEA's product page (PDF). If something here differs from the manual in your box, follow the manual.
