SMÅSTAD loft bed step 7 of 10: Press in the soft-close hinges and hang both wardrobe doors
Press 4 soft-close cup hinges (109338) into the 35 mm recesses on the backs of the left and right wardrobe doors, then hold each door up to the wardrobe and click its hinge arms onto the 109221 mounting plates.

- Use the three adjustment screws on each 109338 hinge arm to align the centre vertical gap between the two wardrobe doors.

- 1 Assemble the wardrobe support panels and bottom
- 2 Fit the wardrobe back panel and stand the left end panel
- 3 Fit the wardrobe shelf, hinge plates, and upper bed dowels
- 4 Lift and seat the mattress base and upper guardrails common mistake
- 5 Stand the desk leg panel and fit the under-desk cable shelf
- 6 Mount and lock the integrated desk top
- 7 Press in the soft-close hinges and hang both wardrobe doors
- 8 Stand the left and right ladder stiles at the front opening
- 9 Bolt the upper guardrails with barrel nuts and corner bolts
- 10 Fit and bolt the 3 ladder steps

High beds and the upper bed of bunk or loft beds are not suitable for children under 6 years due to the risk of injury from falls. Always use two adults to lift the upper bed base in Step 4, and never use a mattress thicker than 20 cm.
