Glides, feet and pads go under the unit, or on its doors and fronts, so it stands steady, slides without scratching the floor or closes quietly. Press or tap one with pegs into its holes; stick a self-adhesive one on a clean, dry surface after peeling off its backing; screw an adjustable foot in and turn it to level the unit.

Taking it out

Pull it off, or ease it out with a flat screwdriver; a self-adhesive one peels off, and a little warmth from a hair dryer softens its glue.
