Fitting it
A cam bolt screws into a small hole in one board until its collar sits on the board, leaving its round head standing out for the cam lock in the board it meets. Screw it in straight and stop at the collar: set deeper, the cam lock cannot reach its head; left higher, the joint stays loose.
Taking it out
Unlock the cam lock first and part the boards, then unscrew the bolt anticlockwise. If its hole no longer grips, glue a short piece of wooden dowel into the hole, let it dry and screw the bolt in again.
