Do I need any tools?
No. The screws go into the tabletop by hand, and the legs turn onto them by hand.
How much can the LACK side table hold?
IKEA gives a maximum load of 10 kg on the tabletop, and warns not to sit on it.
A leg is loose. What do I do?
Turn it clockwise until it is tight against the tabletop. IKEA advises checking now and then that the fittings are tight.
Safety

About this guide
The steps, the part numbers, the counts and the order come from IKEA's assembly manual AA-2606170-1 (2025-02-27). The outer size, 55 × 55 × 45 cm, is IKEA's published size. The tabletop’s thickness and the legs’ square section are close, not measured. The 3D runs faster than real hands do.
IKEA gives the maximum load on the tabletop as 10 kg.
The manufacturer's instructions are on IKEA's product page (PDF). If something here differs from the manual in your box, follow the manual.
The 3D models, drawings and text are our own. IKEA and LACK are named only to say which product this guide is for.
